Meditation for the Gemini full moon, 15th December 2024, to help you write a letter to your past self and reflect on your journey

 

Find a quiet, comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. Sit with a journal or piece of paper and a pen. Close your eyes and take a moment to settle into your body. Breathe in deeply… and exhale slowly. Let your shoulders drop and your face relax.

Gently bring to mind a version of your past self. It could be you at a specific age or during a meaningful time in your life, perhaps a moment of challenge, growth or joy. Picture yourself clearly, just as you were then.

Acknowledge that this past version of you carried everything that led to who you are today, the lessons, the struggles, the joys and even the missteps. 

Continue to breathe for a few moments as you visualise yourself sending loving kindness to your past self. Remember how far you have come, and how proud you would have been to see where you are now.

Feel gratitude for your journey, knowing that every experience shaped your current path.

 


When you have finished, try writing a letter to this past version of yourself. Let your words flow naturally. You might start by acknowledging where they were at that time in life or reflecting on a specific memory.

Consider including:

  • What you wish they had known back then.
  • What you appreciate about how they handled things, even when it was hard.
  • Lessons you’ve learned that they helped you discover.
