Every bit as serene as the shimmering waves of an azure ocean, it’s little wonder that this luminous crystal resonates so deeply with Cancer. After all, the water sign is the guardian of our emotional tides – and aquamarine (named after the Latin word for seawater) is the soothing balm that the Crab’s sensitive soul craves.
The Cancer full moon meditation from the January Blue Ivory Gloss box works with aquamarine crystal and can help you release negative energy.

Known for being nurturing and intuitive, many believe – wrongly – that Cancer takes matters of the heart in her stride. Don’t be fooled by that powerful shell, though; the mother of the Zodiac is known to marinade in her big and ever-shifting feelings, resulting in a sacred rage that absolutely needs to be released… but how?
Well, tied to the flowing energy of the throat chakra, channeling the innate power of aquamarine allows the guarded Crab to do the unthinkable: confront her fears of vulnerability, and express her heart’s truths with calm, clarity, and purpose. In doing so, the Moon’s intuitive child can let go of any lingering fears, frustrations, and tensions that might be holding her back – and strengthen her powers of manifestation in the process, too.
To awaken aquamarine’s healing magic, you can immerse it in water beneath the silvery glow of a full moon, birthing a sacred “moon elixir” for emotional renewal. When the Full Moon graces Cancer’s domain, however, a meditative water ritual can amplify the crystal’s power.
To do this, take an aquamarine bracelet (you’ll find one in this month’s signature Blue Ivory box) and run yourself a warm bath or shower. Then, hold your aquamarine bracelet beneath the ebb of the water, before closing your eyes. Take a moment to imagine all of that emotional heaviness washing away. Then, place the bracelet on your wrist and let its energy flow through you from head to toe.
If you truly want to align your aquamarine with the Crab’s celestial essence, allow yourself the space and time to journal all of the things you’d like to let go of before you begin your aquamarine ceremony. Then, once you’ve finished your ‘water ritual’, you can safely burn the paper you have written on and flush away the ashes. The water will carry your burdens off, helping you connect with your inner self and set clear intentions for the year ahead and navigate any upcoming challenges with grace.
Meditation for the Cancer full moon to release negative energy.
Before you begin, find a quiet, comfortable place. Sit down with a notebook and pen. Take a deep breath in through your nose, and exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension in your body. Now, write down what you wish to release.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose, and as you exhale, let your body completely relax. Continue to breathe deeply and evenly. Let any lingering thoughts simply float past
Visualise a shimmering silver water cascading over your skin, creating a that light wraps you in a protective shield.
Breathe deeply. Feel the silver light dancing on your skin as it gently raises your vibration, allowing the flowing water to cleanse your aura.
As the water falls to the earth, imagine it carrying away the emotional heaviness you’ve been holding.
Visualise the water dissolving any tension, sadness, or worry, washing it down the drain and far, far away.
With each drop, feel yourself becoming lighter, as though the burden on your heart is melting.
Repeat to yourself, “I release what no longer serves me.
When you feel ready, open your eyes and take a deep breath, refreshed and renewed.
